Sample licence
This page is the full text of the licence you accept when you download the free sample. Version sample-licence-v1-2026-09-08.
What you may do
Use the records in the sample package inside your own company, to judge whether our data is worth paying for: open them, check them against what you already know, show them to colleagues in your company, and contact the companies listed if your own business reasons and the law applicable to you allow it.
What you may not do
- Resell the records, in whole or in part, in any form.
- Publish them, post them, or make them available for download.
- Pass them to anyone outside your own company — including group companies, agencies and freelancers working for you.
- Use them as a source for another database, directory, list or lead product.
If you want to use the data beyond this, that is what the paid package is for — write to us and we will quote it.
Every package is marked
Each sample package is individually marked and recorded on our side. If a copy turns up outside the company that downloaded it, we can tell which download it came from. We say this openly rather than hiding it: the marking is there to make redistribution pointless, not to catch anyone out.
What the sample is and is not
The sample is a fixed set of registry records, the same set for every registered supplier. It is a proof of data quality, not a personalised extract and not a complete picture of the market. The records are supplied as they are: we do not warrant that they are complete, current or fit for any particular purpose, and we do not invent values to fill gaps — a field we do not have stays empty.
Company data in the sample is business information about companies, taken from public registers and directories. Contact data of individuals is not part of the sample.
How long this licence lasts
It applies for as long as you hold the records. If you breach it, the licence ends and you must delete the records; we may also refuse further downloads. This does not affect any other rights we have.
Changes and contact
The version you accepted at download is the version that applies to your package; a new version does not change it retroactively. Questions about this licence, or about using the data beyond it: see the contact details in our Terms of Service.
Governing law and jurisdiction are pending a separate decision; this page will state them once it is made.
